ZTE & Fashion TV bring FTV Phone with Froyo to the masses

Ever wonder what happened to the ZTE Blade? Well, it’s been rebranded, made into a fashionably iconic device, and is being pushed to the masses soon. The FashionTV iteration of the ZTE Blade features the same hardware as the original. That means it comes in tow with a 600MHz ARM processor by Qualcomm, 3.5-inch AMOLED display, a microSD card slot, 512 MB of RAM, and a measly 150 MB of internal storage. The good news? Unlike its predecessor, the FTV Phone will ship with Android 2.2 (Froyo). We know it’s a little dated, but hey, it’s leagues better than 2.1 (Eclair), which the ZTE Blade originally shipped with.

There is no other information yet. No pricing, no release date, and no promises have been made about carriers. What we do know is that it will run off a 3G network with HSPA and will be available in three colors: black, gold, and the pictured unit above (white). When we know more so will you intrepid readers.
