ASUS Padfone final design set to debut at Mobile World Congress

According to a new report from Paul O’Brien of , ASUS is getting ready to officially unveil the final design of their long-awaited Padfone. The device has been a focal point for the company ever since it was unveiled more than a year ago, but ever since then we’ve been waiting to see the company officially release the handset. And now that we know the device will be shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the estimation is that ASUS is changing the final design aesthetic to remove those four physical option keys, and making the Padfone look a lot more sleek.

As far as other features go, there is some arguments regarding the chipset within the device. The report from O’Brien suggests that the new device will feature NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core chipset within the device, while other reports out there suggest that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 design is inside. The NVIDIA Tegra 3 would make sense, considering its presence within the Transformer Prime tablet, but stranger things have happened.
