Fans of the Call of Duty service known as Elite should get excited, as an official app for Android has just been released. For those unfamiliar, Call of Duty: Elite is a paid service for fans. It offers early downloads to map packs and special tracking tools for fans willing to pay. Now the app is available for download in the Android Market, but some users have reported issues. When used on a Galaxy Nexus, the app will not scale to the screen.
While we don’t know whether this issue is due to the OS (Ice Cream Sandwich) or the high-res display itself, it is posing a problem for anyone trying to use the app on a Galaxy Nexus. There is no word on when we can expect a fix, but the app should be pulled until there is one. Please remember that this is not a Call of Duty game gone mobile, as there have been no plans of that announced. Hopefully we will see something like that in the future, as Call of Duty on a phone or tablet may be popular with users.
If you would like to give the app a shot, hit the Android Market source link now. After that, be sure to let us know what problems you experienced, or even what you liked in the comments below.
