Corning Gorilla Glass 2 to be shown off at CES

Many of the new Android devices being released today feature Corning’s Gorilla Glass to protect their displays. For anyone unfamiliar, Gorilla Glass is a special type of glass the is extra strong to prevent shattering and scratching of displays. Corning has just announced they are bringing a sequel to CES, known as Gorilla Glass 2. It will be available in phones later this year, so hang tight until CES. Does your phone have Gorilla Glass? Could it use some improvement? Let us know in the comments!

I have the Droid charge and I have I scratch from when I first dropped it but you can barley notice it so its good the way it is

My sources say g2 is even thinner and can be bonded at much lower temps thereby producing thinner devices with greater resolution less distortion and fewer defective results

Hmm. How will we really know it's not the same glass renamed?
