Fujitsu Arrows ES IS12F launching on KDDI January 7
Japan tends to get some really unique phones, and the Fujitsu Arrows ES IS12F is no different. The waterproof handset is only 6.7mm thick, making it one of the thinnest smartphones available. It also features a 4″ AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, 1.4GHz processor, and a 5MP camera. It will become one of the more high-end phones, and should draw in some customers looking for a slim handset.
The phone will be launching January 7, and will cost a hefty 57,800 yen (around $750) off contract. There are no plans for it to be released in any other markets, and will most likely remain exclusive to Japan. It’s interesting that Japan loves keeping its high-end phones waterproof, as in the US waterproof phones usually have outdated specs. We may eventually see a trend like this, but it doesn’t seem likely. What do you think of the Arrows? Is it too thin? Let us know in the comments!
I have had mine since middle of Dec 2011. The thin size is fine. You fill some.heat when function for a long time. If you use a cover on the screen for pretiction sometimes it will not reconize you finger touch. It also cause to lock up once it does lock up you have to remove battery to reset. Battery life is vety short. Still getting used to it other wise it works fine the cost was a bit high.
