i’m Watch generates buzz at CES 2012

Everyone was wondering when this would catch on and it looks like we’re we’ll on our way. Introducing the i’m Watch. Yes, CES is the place for the new and exciting and the Italian tech company i’m is going to be making a push for widespread adoption. The watch itself runs on a customized version of Android 1.6 and pairs with phones via Bluetooth.

Watching the video below will outline some of the features, but to give you a breakdown, it is basically like having your phone on your wrist. You can dial numbers, look through contacts, check messages, see your Facebook stream, manage your calendar, and a lot more. They will even be releasing a market that provides applications to add functionality to the watch.

Now, the watches themselves aren’t cheap by any means. It looks like the cheapest flavor is going to run about $249 bucks and the most expensive will run you a jaw-dropping $14,999 (no, really). In any case, we’re excited here yes. No, we will probably not be sporting a watch as expensive as a car, but $249 bones doesn’t seem like a high price to pay for all those Knight Rider dreams we have… err… used to have. Now all we need is a K.I.T.T. of our own and we’ll be set to save the world, one person at a time.
