Inspiration Works to launch Kurio tablets for kids this summer

Inspiration Works is looking to launch a couple tablets aimed at the younger ones, to be known as the Kurios. They will launch in three sizes, a 7-,8-, and 9-inch version. The 7-inch version sports a 800×480 resolution, the 8-inch a 800×600 resolution, and the 9-inch has a 940 x 600 resolution. The 8- and 9-inch versions will sport a 2MP camera on the back, with a 0.3MP camera on the front. The 7-inch variant will only feature a 0.3MP camera on the front. All three will feature the latest Android 4.0 when they are released.

July is the month of which the tablets will be launched, priced at a reasonable £150, £180 and £200. If you haven’t already figured it out, the tablets will be launching in the UK. They will feature full access to the Android Market, which may alarm some parents. Rest assured, Inspiration Works has this figured out. The tablets will feature an app that parents can restrict the access of certain features on the tablet. Who would buy a tablet like this for their kids? Is it a good idea, or does it offer too much freedom? Let us know in the comments!
