Kinect and Android join hands to bring a motion-controlled experience

We’ve always been fans of innovation and if you are too, you’ll love what we have today. Looks like DDRBoxman, an Android developer, has brought motion control to the Android platform. DDRBoxman, herein referred to as “The Man”, managed this by combining a Microsoft Kinect, a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, a projector, and a computer.

The Man developed a custom-compiled Android ROM that allowed the phone to talk to his PC. From there, he sent commands to a headset that received this information from his Kinect. Once that was done, he threw his display up on a projector and BOOM, Ice Cream Sandwich on the wall. Check out the demo video below and once you’re done, make sure you give The Man a standing ovation.
