LG has managed to unveil the official sequel to the original LG Optimus. The Optimus 2 has appeared on LG’s official site, offering up plenty of details regarding the device’s statistics, but missing out on the really important parts, like a release date and price.
The LG Optimus 2 features a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 320×480 resolution. It will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. There’s an 800MHz processor under the hood, a 3.2MP rear-facing camera, and Bluetooth 3.0+EDR. There’s GPS and WiFi, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. It has support for CDMA EVDO Rev.A, on the 800/1900MHz bands. There’s no word on which network the device will launch on, so we’ll just have to wait and see where it ends up. As far as pricing goes, we don’t imagine this one will rack up a high price tag.
