Following on the heels of another device’s price drop, the Motorola DROID 3 is seeing a pretty big shift in the “cheap range” thanks to a promotional offer that Verizon is now instituting. Of course, now that the DROID 4 is coming down the pipe, there isn’t a big surprise that Verizon would want to discount its predecessor as much as possible, just before the new device’s launch.
With a 4-inch qHD display, the 1GHz dual-core processor under the hood, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread running the show, the DROID 3 may not be the most wanted device out there, but for $50 it isn’t a bad deal at all. If the ThunderBolt with its free price tag isn’t the device for you, maybe the full physical QWERTY-toting DROID 3 is more to your liking. Especially if you can’t wait to get the DROID 4.
