Pantech Element poster spied at AT&T corporate store

We’ve been hearing rumblings about the new tablet from Pantech for awhile now, and most recent rumors regarding the device had suggested the device would be landing in stores sometime very soon. A new image, with plenty of new information, suggests that we’ve got a bit of time before the “waterproof” tablet finds its way to stores, but with that price tag and specification list, perhaps a wait isn’t that bad.

The image comes from a corporate AT&T location, sent in to Engadget from an anonymous source. The poster obviously shows the new tablet, which was apparently put up a few days in advance. According to the tip, the device will be up for special order, or direct fulfillment, on January 15th. But, it won’t be landing in stores for a few weeks. As far as specs go, we are still hearing that it’s an 8-inch tablet, “waterproof,” and will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 16GB of memory. It will also connect to AT&T’s LTE 4G network.

It will cost you $300 on a new, two-year contract, or $450 without any ties holding you.
