Looks like the wireless communications experts at Parrot are hitting CES in a big way. Chances are, if you have a mobile phone, you have a Parrot Bluetooth unit or at least heard of the company in your search for a wireless solution. Well, Parrot’s expanding their line up with 3 new Android-based devices that combine Bluetooth connectivity, advanced telephony, music, and internet apps.
The three products in questions are Parrot’s ASTEROID CK, ASTEROID NAV, and ASTEROID 2DIN. Each unit comes with a remote complete with jog dial. The CK is the most economical unit which features iPod/iPhone control, USB slots, SD/SD-HC cards ports, aux line in, and voice control. Now, the NAV has all those features including live turn-by-turn navigation. Both the CK and the NAV units are standalone systems unlike the 2DIN which is a double-DIN solution for those who want that stock OEM look. We will probably hearing quite a bit since Android has just started making its way onto car-based systems and 2012 is shaping up to be a year of Android hitting a lot of different platforms.
