One of the most anticipated smartphones this year has no doubt been the Galaxy S III, and it right up there with other heavyweights like the next iPhone. While we’ve been hearing all sorts of crazy specs the device may have, we’ve now heard something more reasonable. Someone who is known to have inside information on phones has apparently had some hands-on with the device, and it features specs like a HD resolution screen, Android 4.0, a quad-core processor running at 1.5Gz-1.6GHz and a 12 MP camera. This seem much more believable, and something Samsung will probably deliver.
The insider also notes that the phone is running TouchWiz on top of Android 4.0. This isn’t surprising that Samsung is retaining their popular UI overlay, but we now may have a better idea. Battery life is said to be decent, which is impressive for a phone with such high specs. He further goes on to say that we will be seeing it at Mobile World Congress next month, something most were already expecting. Remember, take this with a huge grain of salt, as this comes with no true evidence. It shouldn’t be too much longer till we find out, as MWC isn’t too far away.
Do these seem like reasonable specs for the Galaxy S III? Were you expecting more, or less? Let us know in the comments!
