Yesterday, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Samsung announced that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 with LTE would be heading to Verizon’s network sometime in the near future. Of course, that never meant that a non-LTE version would be available in other markets. Mobilesyrup is reporting this morning that the WiFi-only version of the tablet will be making its way to Canada.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 WiFi will be running Android 3.2 Honeycomb right out of the box, and it will feature Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz user interface. It will still feature that 1.4GHz dual-core processor under the hood, with a 3MP rear-facing shooter with 720p HD video capture capabilities, and a 2MP front-facing camera. unfortunately, while the report suggests that the newest Tab is coming soon, there’s no exact release date quite yet. There’s no word on pricing, either.
As soon as a retail location, pricing and release date become known, we’ll pass along the info.
