Samsung Nexus S 4G gets a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich

It has been a little while now since Google released the official update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the GSM-based version of the Nexus S by Samsung. But there’s been no word on when the CDMA-based Nexus S 4G, the one released for Sprint, will be getting the update. If you’re someone who can’t wait, though, there’s a new ROM with the latest build of Android 4.0.4 roaming the Internet, supporting the rumor that the official update from Google may be coming sooner rather than later.

An unofficial ROM running Android version 4.0.4 is now available over at XDA, so if you’re brave enough to give it a shot you can head through the source link below. The ROM is particularly stable, though, which has people thinking that Google and Sprint won’t be keeping it from the owners out there who don’t want to add a custom ROM for much longer.

If you add the custom ROM, be sure to let us know in the comments below.
