Everyone knows that Samsung’s Galaxy S II Android-powered handset is a smash-hit success. Many consider the device to be one of, if not the flagship Android device, and now Samsung is revealing some more impressive numbers. The manufacturer has confirmed that more than 10 percent of South Koreans are walking around with a Galaxy S II in their pocket, which is a very impressive statistic.
That means that in South Korea, Samsung has sold more than five million handsets. Globally, as of last October, Samsung had announced that they had sold 30 million Galaxy S and Galaxy S II devices, so this falls right in line. We’ll just have to wait and see whether or not the next flagship device, the rumored Galaxy S III, will have the same impact on the market.
