At this point, Sony Ericsson could unveil a plethora of new devices and we wouldn’t be surprised. The company has done well to tease the world as to what they could be showing off at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, and now another device is being tossed into the rumor pile. The Sony Ericsson MT27i, a rarely talked about smartphone, has managed to pose for Mr. Blurrycam, bringing new reports that the “Pepper” could be one of the new devices SE shows off at this year’s event in Las Vegas.
The Pepper, or model number MT27i, is reportedly the true successor to the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V. It will keep the neo V’s 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen, which features a resolution of 854×480. Under the hood, though, it will have a 1GHz dual-core processor. It will be an updated hardware design, too, now falling more in line with the often-rumored Nozomi. Around back, there’s a 5MP camera with 720p video capture capabilities. There’s no telling which version of Android the device will launch with, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
If Sony Ericsson plans on unveiling the device at CES, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it happens.
