Sony Tablet S held the most market share of any Android tablet in October
We’ll get straight to the point: Sony’s Tablet S held 26% of the Android tablet market share in October of last year, making it the bestselling Android tablet at the time. This may come as a shock to some, as the tablet offered similar specs to tablets that had already been out for months at a higher price. Score for Sony’s customer loyalty.
Eventually as the holiday season approached the tablet lost market share, and competitors like RIM’s Blackberry Playbook starting eating at the share. Owners of the tablet also have something to look forward to, as Sony has just promised that the tablet with be upgraded to Android 4.0 this spring. Sony is on top of their game, but will need to retain this in order to compete in the ever growing Android tablet Market. Who owns a Tablet S? Did it live up to your expectations? Am very happy with the S. Sony do need to allow screen rotation to all four sides. They markeyed the design as having a bettet weight distribution, but you can only watch in landscape mode with the heaviest part of the device at the top. This really doesnt make sense and is easy to Code fix!!!
