Sony Tablet S takes a $100 price cut

Sony has announced that they will be upgrading the Tablet S to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime in the near future, and the company looks to be continuing their track of good news late last night. The manufacturer has officially decided to grace the Tablet S with a pretty significant price cut, dropping the price of both models by $100.

That brings the 16GB version of their uniquely shaped tablet to $399.99, while the 32GB version sees a drop to $499.99. But, that’s not all. Sony is also letting new purchasers download five free Sony PlayStation Certified titles to their tablet, 180 days of their Music Unlimited service, an $8 certificate to download two movie rentals, and finally a voucher for five more preordained photos.

Sounds like Sony is trying to get some folks out there interested in their tablet, and they’re willing to do just about anything to do it, too. No problem there, as the Tablet S is an impressive tablet in its own right, even if the design is a bit unorthodox.
