Now that we have seen how the Sony Xperia S handles in front of the camera, it’s time to find out if the Xperia ion is camera shy. The device, which features plenty of the same statistics as the Xperia S, is headed towards AT&T’s 4G LTE network some time in the second quarter of this year, but until then we’ll just have to live with this hands-on video courtesy of our friends at PhoneDog.
The Sony Xperia ion features a 4.6-inch True HD (720p) display, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor under the hood. Fitted on the back is a 12.1MP rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities. There is a front-facing camera, and the handset will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread once it launches. Sony’s Timescape UI will will also be featured. Check it out in action below, and let us know what you think in the comments below.
