Supersonic, Inc. brings new set top box to Android community

There are a lot of set top boxes these days that allow for streaming of content on the internet and over local networks. It looks like now, we’ll be able to add a new device developed by Supersonic, Inc. to that list and guess what? It’s Android-powered. The SC-66G features a wireless full-size keyboard with touchpad and WiFi capability. It provides full 1080p HD output via HDMI port in addition to having a microSD slot, eSATA connection, and supports various video codecs like MPEG-1-2-4, Xvid, WMV, H264, among others. The unit retails for $199 and runs atop Android 2.2. We know, it’s not ICS, but what can you do?
