Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android Revolution HD ROM update

The Galaxy Nexus has been a developer favorite recently. We have seen many ROMs get released since Google released the source code for ICS. Of course, as we all know, the Galaxy Nexus from Verizon is the first official piece of carrier hardware to run the newest, buzz-generating iteration of the Android OS. Well, one of our favorite ROMs from our dev community got updated today and for those that don’t know, we’re talking about Android Revolution HD.

Now, we haven’t had long to play with this thing, but one thing to note is that it is smooth. Silky smooth really. The newest version (2.1.5) of the hit ROM comes bearing gifts of fixes, better performance, and several other updates. The full changelog is available on the RootzWiki for the ROM. Now, for those that haven’t rooted their phones yet, there are a variety of options out there. Of course, we favor Wug’s Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit, which is a one-stop shop for all your unlocking/rooting/backup/unrooting needs. As it happens, this was also updated recently (on the 22nd) and still offers the same, painless experience.

So, feel like you need some better battery life? Or is your Galaxy Nexus feeling a bit sluggish? In lieu of the factory wipe, perhaps you should give Android Revolution HD a try. If you feel so inclined, we have provided the links below or just hunt around this post and find ‘em yourself. Either way, we’re 99% sure you won’t be disappointed. In any case, let us know how it works out for you below!
