ZTE Optik to hit Sprint online February 5, retail March 11

Sprint hasn’t launched many new devices lately, but they are planning to bring another tablet to the table next month. Known as the ZTE Optik, it features decent specs at a great price. The device’s specs include:

  • 7-inch display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 16GB internal memory
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4,000 mAh battery
  • 5-megapixel primary camera
  • 2-megapixel front facing camera
  • Mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices (3G)
  • Stereo speakers
  • bluetooth

Everything is run by Android 3.2, with no word on an Ice Cream Sandwich update. Also keep in mind that the tablet only supports 3G, with no 4G love. The Optik is priced at only $99 with a two-year agreement with Sprint. That’s a deal to beat, but remember that there is a contract. It will be available online at Sprint on February 5, so not too far away. Anyone who wants to give it a shot in-store will have to wait until March 11, as that is when retail will be receiving it. Planning to buy the Optik? Should more tablets be priced like this? Let us know in the comments!
