ZTE is not exactly the manufacturer that comes to mind when talking about Android tablets, but they want to make their presence known with their upcoming V9A Light Tab 2. It will feature mid-range specs, including a 1.4GHz single-core processor, 7-inch display with a 1024×600 resolution, 512MB of RAM, a 3.2MP camera on the back with a 0.3MP shooter on the front and 3G. Unfortunately it will run the outdated Gingerbread, but may draw in customers with its low price.
The tablet will be launching in late February, and will be sold by online retailer Clove. Pricing will be at a reasonable £234.99 (about $366). Considering the tablet features 3G data, this is one of the better deals available. Just remember that it runs the old Android 2.3, and probably won’t see an update to anything more modern. Now may be ZTE’s chance to take the tablet market, or fall on their face. Would you buy a tablet made by ZTE? Do they even have a chance? Let us know in the comments!
