Thankfully we’ve still got HTC building mystery as to what, exactly, they’re launching at next week’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain. It isn’t unusual for these manufacturers to officially announce devices ahead of time, but this is getting out of hand. Acer has just confirmed that they will be bringing their Liquid Glow smartphone to MWC 2012, and launching it later this summer.
The Liquid Glow Android smartphone will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box, and you’ll be able to touch it all you want on a 3.7-inch touchscreen display. It will also boast near field communication (NFC) capabilities, and come in either “Cat’s-eye Black,” “Alpine White,” or “Sakura Pink.” There’s a 5MP rear-facing camera on the back, but no mention of a front-facing shooter to match.
Acer is keeping a lid on the finer details of the device, so that has to count for something. We’ll get to see more next week.
