The Kindle Fire by Amazon is one of the most popular (cheap) tablets out there. And, while at face value you probably couldn’t tell it was running Android (unless you already knew), there’s definitely a version of our favorite mobile operating system lying under there. That’s why when we see custom ROMs like MIUI going for a spin on the device, we feel like it’s almost a necessity to share it with you.
You can see it in action in the video below, and you can head through the source link to download the custom ROM yourself. Unfortunately, though, as you can tell in the video, it’s not exactly the same MIUI you’d see on a smartphone. But, it’s still great to see one of the most lovable and adored custom ROMs out there ported over to Amazon’s tablet. You will lose all of your Amazon connectivity, though, so keep that in mind before you trudge onward.
