German court goes in favor of Samsung, Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab 10.1N will not be banned

Last year Apple was successful in getting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 banned in Germany. Samsung had to create a slight redesign of the tablet, naming it the Galaxy Tab 10.1N. Apparently that wasn’t enough, as Apple went after the tablet again by trying to file another ban. The German courts decided that it wasn’t a sufficient reason, and ruled in Samsung’s favor. The patent in question will most likely be revoked, as it was for a feature that was already on the market before it was patented.

Apple tried to get the Galaxy Nexus banned as well, which would be very bad for Android. If Google’s very own device wasn’t allowed to be sold, that would probably cause a huge issue, and Google may have even retaliated. This probably won’t be the last time we hear from Apple though. Over the last year they have launched a full-on battle against Android through the world’s finest court systems, and this was just another battle. We may have won this time, but we have no idea what’s in store next. Do you think Apple has any reason at all for these lawsuits? Should the two companies maybe come to an agreement? Let us know in the comments!
