We can only guess that HTC is going to have plenty to announce at this year’s Mobile World Congress event later this month, and the recent leaks that have found their way online are only making that assumption even harder to ignore. Last week we saw plenty of the unannounced HTC Ville, and now this time we’ve got a brand new device to stare and wonder at. The images were sent over to PhoneArena along with some rumored specifications.
There’s no information regarding a name quite yet, but just looking at the back cover of the device has us wondering if this device will be falling into the Incredible line-up of devices. As far as rumored specifications go, this handset is said to be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, feature an 8MP camera on the back, and a VGA front-facing shooter. It will also have 16GB of built-in storage, and feature 1GB of RAM. Additionally, as you can see in the images, it will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along with Sense 4.0.
Interestingly enough, if rumors pan out, this device will see HTC return to an AMOLED display, effectively dropping the SLCD panels they used throughout 2011 (and earlier). While we believe we’ll see the Ville at this year’s Mobile World Congress, there’s no telling if this particular handset will make an appearance or not. We can certainly hope, though.
