Earlier this morning, PhoneScoop was able to confirm with an HTC representative that one of the most recently announced devices from HTC, and part of the phone manufacturer’s new One series of devices, the One V, is heading to the United States courtesy of several different regional carriers. This was announced during HTC’s conference, but up until now it was only assumed that the majority of carriers getting their hands on this “low-end” device would be regional, rather than the major carriers.
The HTC representative confirmed that US Cellular, metroPCS and Virgin Mobile would all be carrying the brand new device in the future, but would not comment on a specific date. At this point, we do not even have a window to ponder over. However, with the device launching in other international markets within the second quarter of this year, it is plausible to think it could land on our shores within the same time frame.
The HTC One V features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, a dual-core processor under the hood, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense 3.6 UI, and a 5MP camera on the back.
