With the high-end devices that HTC released last year, there is a lot of expectation for the manufacturer to update those devices to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. While we know that the HTC Rezound was “Ice Cream Sandwich ready” when it launched, we’ve been left in the dark as to when it will actually get updated.
But the HTC USA-based Facebook has gone ahead and revealed a few details, but not the exact details we were expecting. Here’s the official statement from HTC:
“We have more good news related to Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, and can confirm that upgrades are planned for Verizon Wireless customers with the HTC Rhyme, HTC Thunderbolt, and DROID Incredible 2 by HTC, as well as the already announced HTC Rezound.
In addition, the HTC Raider is on the list to receive ICS for customers of Rogers and Bell in Canada. Stay tuned for more news on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.”
So no exact dates, and we already knew the HTC Rezound was getting updated, but at least it’s good to see the HTC ThunderBolt in the list, along with the DROID Incredible 2, right?
