HTC Ville gets a NenaMark2 benchmark score ahead of official announcement

Next week, we’re expecting to see HTC show off plenty of new devices and make all sorts of announcements. But today, or specifically late yesterday, an unannounced device managed to go through its paces within the NenaMark2 benchmark testing tool. Thanks to our dear friends at TMoNews we’re seeing just how the Ville, or One S as it may be called next week, stacks up when it is put against a benchmarking test. Thankfully, it performs ridiculously well.

It’s no surprise that the Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor is a beast, but it is still good to see it perform so well. As you can see from the image above, the Ville by HTC reached a high score of 60.6, which makes it the second-fastest device to go through the testing service. (The only device to reach scores above the Ville is a Google reference device.) It will be interesting to see how the 1.5GHz quad-core processor handles real-world tasks after (or even during) its announcement, but as it stands right now it’s looking really, really promising.
