Huawei’s latest superphone, the Ascend P1 S, will be finally launching next month. China will be first to receive the handset, which boasts specs like a 1.5GHz OMAP 4460 processor, 4.3-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 960×540, and a 8MP camera on the back. One of the most exciting features may be the fact that it will ship with Ice Cream Sandwich, and that all this is included in a body that is only 6.68mm thick.
The handset is slated to launch in late March, but not much more beyond that is specified. This will be the first country of its global launch, soon moving to Europe. It’s also possible that this handset could make it to the US, and maybe even compete with the heavyweights like HTC and Samsung. We’ll just have to see what Huawei does in the next few months, and hope that we may see the P1 S stateside. Would you buy Huawei’s superphone? Would you rather go for a more well-known brand?
