Hot on the heels of the officially announced Optimus 3D MAX by LG, are some unconfirmed rumors that the next flagship device from the same manufacturer will no longer be known as the X3, as we have heard in the past. No, new reports suggest that the device, which is rumored to be powered by a quad-core processor, will actually be known as the Optimus 4X HD. Thanks to that ‘Optimus’ title in there, we could actually see this one panning out.
The report comes out of Pocketnow, and it makes perfect sense. Everyone knows that LG loves their ‘Optimus’ lineage, and with the HD thrown in there for good measure, it lends credence to the rumors that the new handset will feature a 720p HD display. Hopefully most of these rumors pan out, as a device with NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor and an HD display sound like an amazing device.
Thankfully, Mobile World Congress is just next week, so we don’t have long to wait.
