LG Optimus Vu teased online, features a 5-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio

LG has a knack for teasing future high-end devices, and this is no different. The company has released a teaser video, along with still-shot images of a rendered product, of what they are calling the Optimus Vu. The device will have plenty of high-end features, and feature one of the largest displays out there. But, with a 4:3 aspect ratio (something rarely tried), it could very well be an interesting device.

Other features include a 5-inch display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and an 8MP rear-facing camera. You’ll also find 8GB of built-in storage, coupled with 1GB of RAM. As for the version of Android the high-end device will be running? It looks like the Optimus Vu will be boasting Android 2.3 Gingerbread to the party, whenever it shows up.

There is no mention of a release date or price, but that shouldn’t shock you. Will we get to see this beast of a device at this year’s Mobile World Congress later this month? It is very likely. So we’ll see how hard LG tries to push this new device, and how, hopefully soon.
