The LG Phoenix is one of the few devices in LG’s Optimus One line that hasn’t been updated to Android 2.3, also known as Gingerbread. The day has finally come though, as AT&T and LG are now offering the update for the phone. It’s not as easy as an OTA (over-the-air) update, but anyone truly interested in getting Gingerbread on their device should have no trouble updating.
LG has provided specific instructions to help guide users through the update, and will offer support to anyone with issues. It’s good to see that even an older, lowly spec’d handset like the Phoenix is receiving the update, even if it is a little late. Any owners of the LG Phoenix excited for the update? Hit the source LG source link to start the process now, and be sure to let us know how it goes in the comments.
