One of the cues that we all wait to see on an incoming DROID-branded handset is the release on the DroidDoes website. And while we still don’t have a launch date for the DROID 4 by Motorola on Verizon’s network quite yet, rumors suggest that the handset is ready to hit the network on February 9th. As if we needed another point to help drive that rumor home, the DROID 4 has now made an apperance on the official DROID site.
The specifications of the phone are still the same. We’re looking at a 4-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960×540. Inside, you’ll find a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. Thanks to that original DROID lineage, you’ll find the full slide-out QWERTY keyboard on board. It will launch with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread on board, but there shouldn’t be any doubt that this device will see the likes of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at some point in the future.
We’ll just have to wait and see when Verizon feels we all deserve to know when the DROID 4 is officially coming, so stay tuned. If you want to learn more about the DROID 4, head on through the source link below.
