It wasn’t until this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that Verizon decided to officially announce the DROID 4 by Motorola. It wasn’t a big secret of course, considering the plethora of leaks regarding the device before its official unveiling. But even before it was official, rumors were swirling around regarding its launch date — which is still not official, by the way. And while we were all under the assumption that the second of February was the day of days, now it’s circulating that that may not be the day after all.
A new rumor out of Droid-Life, basing information acquired from their unnamed sources, suggests that the launch date for the DROID 4 has moved from the 2nd of February, to a week later. The new target date is now February 9th, 2012. What’s more, that leaked MAP which pointed to a lower $199 price tag for the device is being “confirmed” by the unnamed sources. So while it’s nothing absolutely official from the mouths of the PR team at Verizon, it’s what we have to work with right now.
