Now that the first DROID-branded tablets have been out for awhile, it’s about time that they receive a much-anticipated update: global roaming. Both tablets are now getting notifications that an update, which is build 1.6.0M_279, is now available for the tablet, and ready to download. Both tablets are seeing the same update, while the DROID XYBOARD 10.1 is getting one additional feature that the 8.2 is missing out on, apparently.
Going through the support documents, which you can find the links to below, shows that the DROID XYBOARD 10.1 is receiving some stylus enhancements, which is missing from the DROID XYBOARD 8.2 changelog. Both devices will be getting better touch responsiveness in this update, along with the ability to hold on to your data connection while you turn WiFi on and off. You’ll also get some improvements to the Browser.
But, the biggest part of the update which we mentioned above, is that both DROID tablets are now global roaming capable. Get ready to download the 83.8MB file, and then be sure to let us know what you think of the update below.
