It has been a long time coming. In standard Samsung tradition, the manufacturer managed to bring in plenty of awareness for their huge 5.3-inch device with an international launch long before they ever even announced a launch here in the States. But after plenty of waiting, and wondering, the Galaxy Note by Samsung is finally here courtesy of AT&T.
The Galaxy Note features a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display, with a resolution of 1280×800. There’s a 1.5GHz dual-core processor under the hood, with an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter. The battery is measured in at 2,500mAh, and it will be launching with Android 2.3 Gingerbread right out of the box. You’ll also find the fourth version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface right there, waiting to be touched. The Galaxy Note features Samsung’s S-Pen stylus, giving you the ability to take notes on your device whenever you want.
If you want to avoid the contracts, you can pick up the Galaxy Note for $649.99. But, if a two-year contract is more your thing, you’ll be able to pick up the device for $299.99.
