Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi gets taste of CyanogenMod 9 pre-Alpha

CyanogenMod 9 is right around the corner for some devices (hopefully), and for those of you out there who are fans of the custom ROM, this is the version that you’ve all been waiting for. And with much anticipation, comes the anxious wait for anything new to come from the news department. Well, if you’ve got yourself a Galaxy Tab 10.1 by Samsung and you’re willing to try out some new, pre-Alpha goodness, then today is your lucky day.

This new version for the popular tablet from Samsung is fully endorsed by the founder of CyanogenMod, Steve Kondik, and he has said as much from his Google+ page. Unfortunately, as the software is pre-Alpha, not everything is working: specifically, don’t expect the camera to work at this particular juncture, and there are still plenty of bugs lying under the hood. Again, it’s pre-Alpha so this sort of thing is to be expected.

If you do try it out, let us know what you think!
