Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE for Verizon landing next week, according to leaked equipment guide image

When dealing with any carrier, looking for an official announcement about an upcoming device can sometimes relate to pulling teeth. When it comes to Verizon, it may even be two teeth. It’s been quite some time since we last heard about the LTE-connected Galaxy Tab 7.7 by Samsung, but now the device is back in the news, and coming along for the ride is the launch date.

The image you’re looking at above is from Verizon’s internal equipment guide. This is the screen that employees look at when they’re trying to find out when a device will launch. As close as it gets to an official, public announcement, this is as official as it gets internally. Basically, as it stands right now, that March 1st, 2012 date is looking like the launch date for this newest Samsung-branded tablet device.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE by Samsung features a 7.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×800. There’s a 1.4GHz dual-core processor under the hood, with 16GB of built-in storage and 1GB of RAM. There’s also a 3MP rear-facing camera which can take 720p HD video, and a 2MP front-facing shooter. The price is set at $499.99, but that is on a new, two-year agreement.

Keep in mind that we’re still waiting for an official announcement from Verizon, or Samsung, so stay tuned. But, you may want to go ahead and circle that March 1st date.
