Ice Cream Sandwich has been all the rage these days, with tablet manufacturers slowly rolling out updates with the latest update. Samsung confirmed that it would update its Galaxy Tab 10.1 to Ice Cream Sandwich, but we never heard any more than that. In the meantime they have been perfecting other features of the current build, and are now rolling out an update to the Wi-Fi only version of the tablet. While it isn’t Android 4.0, it does bring some maintenance updates.
Included are fixes to rotation issues, email attachment issues, improved power consumption, and other miscellaneous force close issues. It sounds like a good update, and may even have some hidden goodies preparing the tablet for the jump to 4.0. For those interested, the build number is HTJ85B.UEKMP P7510UEKMP. It may take a few days for the rollout to complete, but be patient. Have you received the update yet? Tell us about it in the comments!
