Toshiba’s 10-inch Thrive tablet is still running Honeycomb, and up until now there hasn’t been much said about a release date for an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. But, thanks to their Twitter account, that has finally changed. The company has confirmed that the tablet is indeed planned for an update, but while they don’t have an exact date quite yet, they are more than willing to talk about what they’re “targeting.”
The target date is set for “late Spring,” which gives them a few more months to get things figured out and ready to go live. However, it isn’t a confirmation of any kind that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Toshiba will have the update ready by then. As they said, it’s just a “target,” so keep that in mind.
If you own the tablet, any good news is better than no good news, right?
