Yesterday, ASUS teased that a software update for their Transformer Prime tablet was on the way. Though, in the tease, they left out plenty of information (which is probably why it’s caused a tease). But now it looks like the cat is out of the bag, thanks to ASUS Italy’s Facebook page. That particular social network arm has divulged plenty of details regarding the update, which includes plenty of new features.
You’ll get Face Unlock, a feature that was made famous by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung. You will also get some new lock screen notification controls, and a new support for LAN connections courtesy of a USB converter. As far as a release date, the Facebook page also says that the update could be seeing the light of day as early as March 29th, or Thursday.
This new update to the Transformer Prime, with its new software features, is a welcomed sight to owners of the quad-core tablet.
