Earlier this morning, we told you that the Google I/O 2012 event had sold out in under an hour, both in the student tickets and the general develop tickets. It’s a huge deal for Google, as it’s confirmation that there are people out there interested in learning more about how Google is advancing their properties. But, if you didn’t get a ticket through the official means, maybe you should start looking at places like eBay. But only if you’re really, really interested in going.
Right now, there’s a ticket available through eBay that you can get for $4,000. That’s right, you read that correctly. Four thousand dollars. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. People think they can make a profit off this kind of thing. Sure, we wish we could see this ticket actually get into the hands of a developer for the normal price, but this is unfortunately what we have to deal with.
