A leaked image of the device isn’t the only way to get a chance at learning of a previously unheard of device. In this particular case, we actually have information through a test photograph taken with a previously unheard of device: the Golf. As is usual, the general consensus is that ‘Golf’ is just an internal codename right now, and that this particular device will more than likely pick up a new name when it becomes officially announced.
But, as it stands right now, it is rumored that the Golf by HTC features a 3MP camera on the back (based on the EXIF data from the picture taken). Other rumors suggest the device will feature a 3.5-inch display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and have a 1GHz processor under the hood.
If this is indeed the device that HTC will be replacing the Wildfire with, then it looks like it will be a worthwhile upgrade to those looking for a budget-friendly handset.
