Motorola DROID 2 Global now receiving maintenance update

Motorola has decided that while it may not be bumping its older DROID 2 Global to Ice Cream Sandwich, it will still send out a maintenance update. Users are now reporting that an update to version 4.5.692 is rolling out to their handsets, and it brings some fixes. Automatic power-ons, the inability to save camera settings after reboots and fixed out of memory has all but disappeared after the update, or at least it should. The update is rolling out now, and should hit users soon. Who still has a DROID 2 Global? Have you tried out the new update? Let us know in the comments!

I got the update a day ago. The phone seems to function a little more fluidly, and there no glitches so far. Gingerbread may now live up to its hype. Initially, I regretted giving up Froyo, but I like how the phone is working now. The first run of Gingerbread made the phone seem confused as to what you wished it to do.
