We’ve heard about the DROID Fighter in the past, even if actual information regarding the device’s specifications is pretty much non-existent at this point. But, that hash’t stopped someone out there from taking a picture of what is believed to be the newest DROID-branded device from Motorola, coming down Verizon’s pipe at some point this year.
As far as information goes regarding this latest leak, there isn’t much (surprise, surprise). The original article suggests that the handset features a 4.6-inch HD display. And that’s it. We can tell, though, pretty distinctly that the DROID Fighter is lacking any capacitive keys on the bottom, below the display and anywhere near that Verizon logo. That would be a pretty safe indication that this particular device will be launching with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
We’ll have to wait and see when this handset comes to life. If it does indeed launch with Ice Cream Sandwich, the more interesting part will be to see how soon after, or before, Motorola updates their current line-up of high-end DROID devices to the latest version of Android.
