The Nokia N9 runs MeeGo, an OS that is pretty much dead. So, what do owners of the handset do? Hack it to run Android, of course! A new alpha of the software has now been revealed, and it offers plenty of functionality for such an early build. Of it, the cell radios are working, multitouch is supported, along with 3D drivers and OpenGL. Quite an impressive feat for the handset.
Things are done through a dual-boot, so owners won’t have to decide between the two OSes. Everything is still in development, but we’re sure to see more over time. Any readers own an N9? Does this hack pique your interest? Let us know in the comments!
