Yesterday, news broke that Samsung had finally chosen a date to issue the much anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to the international version of the Galaxy S II. There were obviously plenty of people that were excited about this. But, as it sometimes happens, it looks like someone within Samsung may have gotten a bit too excited about posting a date. Samsung has come forward and announced that the March 10th date is actually incorrect.
More to the point, though, Samsung is still saying that a final date has not been decided upon for the ICS update. So, while there was plenty to be excited about yesterday, owners of the Galaxy S II by Samsung are stuck waiting all over again. There’s no word on when the update will be released, and Samsung isn’t giving any information away at this point.
As soon as we know more, we’ll pass it along.
